1. 全球慈善家/法人公益團體，不分宗教、性別、職業、年齡，其愛心善舉符合獎勵標準，均可被*推薦參選。參選人如參選期間離世，即喪失參選資格。
Charitable entities, organizations around the world, regardless of religion, gender, occupation, age, whose charity works or charitable acts fulfill the award requirements below, are eligible to be *recommended by a third party. If the Applicant passes away during any stage of the application process, he /she /it will be disqualified.

The Award Requirements
‧公益創新，先知先行 /
Innovators, pioneers in charitable acts, charity works and philanthropy.
‧愛心企業，社會典範 /
Compassionate entrepreneurs, leading the enterprise to contribute to the community as a whole.
‧宗教領袖，慈悲喜捨 /
Religious leaders have mercy on those who suffers and bringing benefits to the general public.
‧默默行善，匡正風氣 /
Low profile philanthropists, rectifying and improving the general trend, tendencies and atmosphere of the society.
‧濟困扶危，救助無依。
Those fervently helping others in distress and aid those in need or peril, including the elderly and orphans.
2.推薦團體*包括政府/學術/慈善/非政府組織/非牟利機構等（同一團體/機構最多可推薦3名）。
* Recommending organizations/ institutions include government departments, academic institutions, registered charities, Non-Governmental Organizations, or Non-Profit Organizations (the same organization/ institution can recommend up to 3 Applicants each year)
3.參選者須將中文或英文推薦表/推薦團體負責人資料(圖、文限10頁A4紙以內；影片限2-3分鐘)及「獎金使用計劃」，網上/電郵/郵寄，於截止報名日期前提供。
The Recommender/ Recommending Institution should submit the completed Chinese or English Application Form with supporting materials such as photographs, newspaper clippings, social media posts (maximum 10 pieces of A4 paper, short video of around 2-3 minutes) as well as future plan or project outline for the prize money, online, via e-mail or by post, on or before the application deadline.
4.全球得獎名額6-8名，得獎者不分名次。
There will be 6-8 Awardees around the world (in no particular order).
5.每名得獎者獎金美金20萬元、獎座及獎狀；得獎人於頒獎典禮前/後離世，獎金
(含未頒發獎金)由本獎議決處理。
Each Awardee will receive US$200,000, together with the Compassion Award trophy and certificate. If the Awardee passes away prior to/ after the Award Presentation Ceremony (before part of all of the prize money has been given out), the Award Committee has the complete discretion in deciding what to do with the whole or the remainder of the prize money.
6.得獎者須親自出席頒獎典禮，未經事先協商缺席者，或作棄權論。 The Awardees must attend the Award Presentation Ceremony in person. Those absent without prior consent from the Compassion Award Committee will be treated as having forfeited the Award.
7.獎金自頒獎典禮日起1年內分3階段頒發，得獎者請參閱「獎金頒發準則」。
The prizes will be allocated in 3 yearly installments after the Award Presentation Ceremony. The Awardee can refer to the Prize Presentation Guidelines for reference.
8.本獎有權使用得獎者相關之相片/影片作刊物、網絡宣傳及慈善活動，並有權將事蹟發表、刊登、展覽、編成專輯供公益推廣，版權屬本獎所有；本獎將永久保留得獎者資料。
The Compassion Award has the right to announce, publish, exhibit and put together a collection of the charitable deeds and achievements of the Awardees, and the copyright thereof will be owned by the Compassion Award. The Committee will archive all the information provided by the Awardees.
9.參選者如有法律訴訟，須主動申報；如未申報或虛假不實，經查核證實，將取消參選資格。得獎者在得獎前/後遭法院起訴，本獎有權追回、暫緩或停止頒發獎金，以及撤銷得獎者榮譽。
If the Applicant is involved in any legal dispute, he/ she/ it must report such fact to the Award Committee, otherwise he/ she/ it will be disqualified. If the Awardee is involved in legal proceedings prior to/ after announcement of the Awardees, the Committee reserves the right to retrieve, suspense, stop or curtail the prize money, and to revoke the relevant Award.
10.得獎者須匯報行善活動並經雙方協商後有義務應邀出席本獎推廣活動。
The Awardees should report to the Award Committee quarterly in relation to their recent achievements, and accept the invitation to participate in the Compassion Award’s promotional activities by mutual consent.
11.本獎承擔得獎者及其配偶/推薦者/隨行者，共兩人來香港領獎的來回經濟艙/商務艙機票、酒店住宿1-2晚費用；得獎者自理來港簽證/雜費，觀禮者自費參加。
The Award Committee will be responsible for the travel expenses of the Awardees and one accompanying partner chosen by them, such as their spouses, family members, nominators, friends or colleagues, to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony in Hong Kong. The package include economic/ business class round-trip air tickets and hotel accommodation for 1-2 nights. The Awardees should apply for relevant visa for travelling and take care of other miscellaneous expenses themselves, other relatives and friends are welcome to join them on their own expenses.
12.歷年曾參選未得獎者相隔二年後可再參選；歷年得獎者得獎20年後可第二次參選。
Each unsuccessful Applicant can be recommended every three years. An Awardee can be re-nominated in 20 years’ time, from the year they were awarded.
13.本獎依照香港個人資料(私隱)條例規定：參選者及推薦者填寫於推薦表上的個人資料、評選、票選及表決，將予保密。參選資料不予退回。
In accordance with Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, information provided by the Applicant and Recommender, any details relating to the selection process, and the voting results of the Compassion Award, will remain confidential. All information provided by the Applicant will not be returned.
14.本基金會現屆董事局成員及職員、終選委員、合作媒體不可推薦參選。
Any application or recommendation by any of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong & Macau Taiwanese Charity Fund (HMTCF), staffs, panel of judges, media partners of the Compassion Award, will be considered void.
15.本指引如有爭議或未盡事宜，委員會保留最終決定權。
In case of any dispute or contentious matters, the decision of the Award Committee shall be final and conclusive.
