In the spirit of inspiring compassion, encouraging acts of kindness, promoting filial devotion, nurturing goodness and integrity, and fostering a harmonious atmosphere in society, the Fund established the “Compassion Award” in 2006, to honour those who embody selfless compassion around the world, give recognition to international charity models who are passionate about public welfare, and to spread the seeds of compassion to every corner of the world, hoping for “Tiny acts of compassion, a tide that becomes the boundless”.
2009年，正值壯年的陳啟耀懷著一顆無私的愛心，在家人反對的情況下，仍毅然決定冒著風險，捐出大部分肝臟予一位素未謀面、生命危在旦夕的女學生，展現了人性的光輝與無比的勇氣。這份無私的付出，其後獲第四屆愛心獎肯定。
在他眼中，行善沒有既定公式。有能力做到的事，無論大小，都值得出手相助。手術後的康復並不容易，他承受了無盡痛楚，但從未後悔。受捐者能延續生命，而且活得更精彩，這對他來說已足夠。
時隔多年，我們再度與他相見。他的身體早已恢復，生活健康而踏實。現在，就讓我們聽聽他親身分享。
